This cute character animation has been under wraps for a looong time, finally Savvy Squirrel can scamper into the daylight! Designed and illustrated by Fathom in Bournemouth, this animation tells the story of an intrepid squirrel and his family inheritance...
Produced for a wealth planning agency, its used on their website homepage to convey their message using an engaging and lighthearted graphic style using the familiar trope of the canny squirrel.
I used a lot of soft body dynamics and stretchy animation techniques to animate these creature as they go through a roller coaster of emotions: from sad to happy to surprised to relieved!
I really enjoyed working on this - its nice to use more organic animation techniques now and then. The result is quirky and engaging...
